🗓️ Day-Wise Itinerary

🛬 Day 1: Hasimara Station – Transfer to Thimphu (En route Sightseeing)

Pick-up from Hasimara Station. After completing immigration formalities, visit:

  • Zangtopelri, Phuentsholing – Close to the Weekend Market, this modern chapel was built in the 1990s as a representation of Guru Rinpoche’s celestial abode by Dasho Aku Tongmi, the composer of Bhutan’s national anthem.

Then drive to Thimphu, enjoying scenic views of the mountains and waterfalls. Thimphu is a unique city blending modern development with ancient traditions. With a population of about 90,000, it remains the only capital city in the world without traffic lights.

In the evening:

  • Stroll through the Handicrafts Emporium and local crafts bazaar, where you can explore Bhutan’s fine traditional arts – hand-woven textiles, thangka paintings, masks, ceramics, jewelry, woodcarvings, and more.
