🗓️ Day-Wise Itinerary
🛬 Day 1: Arrival – Bagdogra/NJP – Phuentsholing
Welcome to Bagdogra/NJP! Begin your journey with a scenic drive to Phuentsholing. After immigration formalities, check in to your hotel.
Phuentsholing (Altitude: 300m / 985 ft) is a bustling border town at the Himalayan foothills, where Indian, Bhutanese, and Nepalese cultures blend beautifully.
Evening: Take a walk around the local market.
Overnight stay: Phuentsholing
🏙️ Day 2: Phuentsholing to Thimphu
After breakfast, drive to Thimphu. En route visit:
- Zangtho Pelri Lhakhang
- Crocodile Breeding Centre
- Kharbandi Goenpa
- On arrival, check in to your hotel. Thimphu, the capital city, is a unique blend of tradition and modernity and notably has no traffic lights!
- Evening: Stroll through the Handicrafts Emporium and local bazaar.
- Overnight stay: Thimphu (Altitude: 2,320m)
🕍 Day 3: Thimphu Full-Day Sightseeing
After breakfast, enjoy a city tour:
- Kuensel Phodrang (Buddha Dordenma)
- Handicrafts Emporium
- National Library
- Changangkha Monastery
- Zorig Chusum (Institute of 13 Traditional Arts & Crafts)
- Textile Museum
- National Memorial Chorten
- Craft Gallery
- Folk Heritage Museum
Afternoon:
- Takin Preserve (home of Bhutan’s national animal)
- Tashichho Dzong (Fortress of the Glorious Religion)
- Craft Bazaar Market
Overnight stay: Thimphu
🌉 Day 4: Thimphu to Punakha/Wangdue – Local Sightseeing
After breakfast, drive to Punakha/Wangdue. En route, visit:
- Dochula Pass (Alt. 3,100 m): A panoramic viewpoint with 108 chortens
- Suspension Bridge: One of the longest in Bhutan
- Punakha Dzong: A majestic fortress at the confluence of Pho Chhu (male) and Mo Chhu (female) rivers, known as “The Palace of Great Happiness”
Check-in at hotel.
Overnight stay: Punakha/Wangdue
🏞️ Day 5: Punakha to Bumthang (Via Trongsa) stay In Bumthang
After breakfast drive to BumthangViaTrongsa, On The way enjoy wonder full Beauty of the natures and the mountains & short stop at Pelela Pass(3390M above sea level),
After 4 hours journey visit to the magnificent & longest fortress Trongsa Zong. Check in Hotel Night stay in Bumthang.
🏯 Day 6: Bumthang Sightseeing
Bumthang is one of Bhutan’s most spiritual valleys – the heartland of Buddhism. Visit:
- Mebartsho (Burning Lake)
- Jambay Lhakhang – Built in the 7th century
- Jakar Dzong – Seat of district administration
- Kurjey Lhakhang – Contains the body imprint of Guru Padmasambhava
- Zangto Pelri – Near Kurjey Lhakhang
Evening: Dinner and relaxation at hotel - Overnight stay: Bumthang
⛰️ Day 7: Bumthang to Punakha
After breakfast, drive back to Punakha. En route, visit:
Ta Dzong (Watchtower Museum) – Overlooks the Trongsa valley
Evening: Explore the local market
Overnight stay: Punakha
🧗 Day 8: Punakha/Wangdue to Paro (Local Sightseeing)
After breakfast, drive to Paro. En route visit:
- Simtokha Dzong – First Dzong built in Bhutan (1629)
- National Museum of Bhutan – Housed in the ancient Ta Dzong above Rinpung Dzong
- Rinpung Dzong – Built in 1646, houses administrative and monastic offices
- Nyamai Zam Bridge – Known as “The Bridge with No Fish”
- Overnight stay: Paro
🏞 Day 9: Paro – Hike to Tiger’s Nest
After breakfast, embark on a remarkable hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Taktsang).
This iconic site is perched on a cliff at 3,120 m. Legend says Guru Rinpoche (Second Buddha) flew here on a tigress to meditate.
Trek time: Approx. 3 hours (one way)
Evening: Return and relax at the hotel
Overnight stay: Paro
🚗 Day 10: Paro – Phuentsholing
After breakfast, drive back to Phuentsholing.
Evening: Leisure walk around the main street and local market.

After breakfast, complete exit formalities with the help of our guide. Drive to Bagdogra Airport / NJP Railway Station.
